Hello there! 👋 I’m an experienced designer specializing in UX/UI and visual design. I’m passionate about crafting experiences and visuals that solve meaningful problems and tell captivating stories. I'm a big believer in both doing great work and just being a good human! 🙏
My Design Experience
Currently I have the privilege of working as a product designer with Dick’s Sporting Goods, employing human-centered design and the UX process within an agile team to build valuable experiences and interfaces for our users. I've worked both on our e-commerce native mobile apps, creating designs to help our millions of users find products they'll love, and I've worked on our corporate desktop and mobile apps that help our business users achieve their goals more enjoyably and effectively.
I got my start in design working in the non-profit space for 7 years where, as lead graphic designer, I created our local brand identity as well as designed and oversaw all kinds of digital and print graphics projects. Each summer I loved getting to lead a design internship program for 30+ college students. Later, while I worked towards achieving my UI/UX certification, I designed logos and illustrations for small businesses.
The Tools In My Toolbox
My time with non-profits has given me lasting empathy for people and my multidisciplinary design career has equipped me with the many tools I use today to understand and design for their needs. Throughout my career I have been able to utilize my design skills to drive and deliver user research, product UX/UI, prototypes, usability testing, responsive websites, design systems, brand identities, digital/print collateral, illustrations and more. I'm a great communicator and excel at presenting my designs, strategy, and processes, as well as leading and facilitating workshops and trainings. I enjoy working in Figma, Miro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and any new tool I have the opportunity to learn.
My Life Beyond Design
When I'm not designing or drawing you can find me hiking in the woods, chasing my dog around the park, or spending time with friends. I'm also obsessed with reading and, from prehistoric animal biology to multiversal detectives, the books I read are hilariously all over the place.
